Raise Those Pints
Raise Those Pints
Did you stay till the last drink in 2011?

Category: Beerfest 2012

Thank you

Thank you to all who came out to the third annual Cooper-Young Regional Beerfest yesterday. We had a great time and hope that you did as well.

We couldn’t have done this without help. First, we want to thank the brewers and homebrew clubs that made the festival possible:

Second, we had tremendous support for the beerfest and Cooper-Young from our sponsors.

Some of our great, local businesses contributed to make sure that our visiting brewers had a taste of the wonderful things that Memphis has to offer.

Last but not least, we had dedicated volunteers that came to the festival, did plenty of dirty and sweaty work setting up the site, pouring beer, getting ice and tearing things down at the end. Thank you for your help.

We will work hard to plan the fourth annual Cooper-Young Regional Beerfest for 2013, try to keep the great things and improve the shortcomings. If you have any suggestions, we would love to hear from you.

We hope to see you in 2013!

2012 CYRB is Today!

Today is the day. It looks like the weather is going to be great for the third annual Cooper-Young Regional Beerfest. Online ticket sales have ended, but we still have about 100 tickets left that we will be selling at the gate for $40.

For more information, please visit our Information & Tickets page.

Here’s a list of 10 things to bring that will enhance your festival experience:

  1. Your ticket – you’d be surprised . . .
  2. ID – you must be 21 to enter
  3. Cash – for food, t-shirts and other stuff
  4. Sunglasses – squinting at your beer ain’t cool
  5. Buddies – unless you prefer to drink alone
  6. Cab fare or a designated driver – they get in free!
  7. Comfy clothes – this ain’t no fashion show!
  8. Taste buds – there’s lots to taste in four hours
  9. An open mind – c’mon, try at least one beer you think you won’t like
  10. A camera - good times with good friends should be documented

And just so you know what you’re getting into, here are a few more things to know about #CYBeerFest

  1. We won’t have Bud Light.
  2. We won’t have Miller Lite or Coors Light, Keystone Light, Corona Light, Michelob Light, Shock Top, Mike’s Hard Lemonade, Tequiza, Zima or anything like that.
  3. If you’re hell bent on having a light beer, find ANYBODY working with the beer festival, and they’ll help you find a beer you like; we promise!
  4. Leave your pet at home. (Fill up the water bowl before you leave)
  5. No agro, bro! Just good times and good beer.
  6. Educate. Beer Tent Revival will show you the light (not to be confused with the Lite)
  7. Hydrate. Water’s a wonder beverage! Keeps your head cool in many ways.
  8. This festival would not exist without you guys talking about it. So, tweet and Facebook ’til that battery dies! The official hashtag is #CYBeerFest.
